Communications Officer at Girls First Fund

Role Overview

  • Support the implementation of GFF’s communications strategy and annual plans
  • Amplify the voices and work of GFF’s grantee partners advancing girls’ rights and gender justice
  • Contribute to content creation, storytelling, and digital engagement across platforms

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and coordinate content for the website, social media, newsletters, and publications
  • Support digital campaigns and key commemorative moments (e.g. International Day of the Girl)
  • Assist with website updates, social media management, and basic analytics
  • Collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners on joint communications initiatives
  • Support outreach, learning dissemination, and grantee communications capacity

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in strategic communications (non-profit or gender justice sector preferred)
  • Strong writing and editing skills; digital and visual skills a plus
  • Experience using tools such as WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial, social, and economic justice

Languages

  • English required
  • French or Spanish desirable

Compensation & Timing

  • Salary: USD $51,000 – $64,000 (dependent on location and experience)
  • Deadline: December 31, 2025
