About the Role
The Risk Governance and Compliance Manager will support the implementation of effective risk management, internal control, and compliance systems across Save the Children Kenya’s programs.
This role ensures that operations align with internal policies, donor regulations, and legal standards, while fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and strengthen country office risk management and compliance frameworks.
Support the design, rollout, and monitoring of internal control systems.
Provide guidance on donor compliance and organizational policies.
Conduct regular risk reviews, audits, and follow-up actions to address findings.
Build staff capacity in risk awareness and compliance best practices.
Advise senior management on emerging risks and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely closure of audit actions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, CIA, ACCA is an added advantage).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or governance.
Demonstrated experience in INGOs or donor-funded projects.
Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.
Proven ability to influence and build partnerships across teams.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
