Role Overview
As the Senior Program Officer, Development Policy and Finance – Africa, you will play a critical role in advancing the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen financing for health and development across the continent. You will provide strategic leadership on policy engagement, budgeting processes, and domestic resource mobilization to help drive sustainable outcomes in African countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of strategies to advance development finance and policy priorities in Africa.
- Support African governments in planning, budgeting, and financing critical health and development programs.
- Provide technical and strategic guidance on domestic resource mobilization and public financial management.
- Build partnerships with policymakers, development partners, civil society, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of grants and advocacy investments to support policy and financing objectives.
- Represent the Foundation in high-level discussions, technical forums, and regional dialogues.
